About the Trainer

Betty Estremo has been training dogs since she was a little girl. She never grew up without a dog in her house. She has a passion for all animals and considered exotic animal training at one time. Different dog breeds she has owned: Welsh Corgi, Chihuahua Terrier mix, Beagle, Siberian Husky, Rottweiler, Husky Wolf mix and American Bulldogs. However, she has trained a variety of breeds. She pursued her career as a dog trainer when she discovered her dog Bosco had extreme talent and inspired Betty to make her dream become a reality.

Betty has obtained her AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator license and has tested hundreds of dogs with the help of her beloved Bosco. She is published in the Citizen Canine Official Training Publication Book by the American Kennel Club. She is a certified dog trainer, specializing in clicker and basic obedience training for many years. She has been a mentor/trainer to new dog trainers throughout Orange County Petco stores. She has attended many workshops and is certified with SAFER through the ASPCA and is capable of assessing dog temperaments.

Betty has worked with professional movie trainers and both of her dogs have done print work and commercials. Her unique approach to training includes a system personally developed through years of research and hands on experience. She specializes in clicker and positive reinforcement training. Her gift for connecting with animals and people are keys to her training program.

She will enrich your experience with your companion by making sure you are both involved in the learning experience and having fun at the same time.

Betty is the official dog trainer for Desperate Paws of Orange County and is part of the Paw It Forward Campaign.

Betty participates in the O.C. Pet Expo each year. Her dog Bosco, is recognized by the NKC and the American Bulldog Association. Bosco's pedigree stems from Suregrip (just like Chance from Homeward Bound). Bosco is a Therapy Dog with Delta Society.

Betty enjoys hiking different trails with her dogs Bosco and Nala. Nala and Betty love to do agility courses. Betty takes both of her dogs to as many places as she can, including baseball games, Yappy hours, and the beach.
